Job Description:
The Assoc Mgr, Operations Mgmt will join a dynamic, fast passed organization and provide financial support and management in a matrixed organization, managing a team of Operations analyst. The manager will work with business partners throughout the organization to drive financial results, as well as work with the leadership team to identify risks and opportunities to financial goals and plans. This manager will also be responsible for overseeing the forecasting, developing and maintaining metrics and charts, and providing explanations to deviation to forecast, which requires advanced excel skills, for their group. Reporting monthly analysis, metrics, KPI's and performance for the functional areas the analyst forecast for will also be requirements for this management position.
Essential Functions:
Collect data, allocate costs, and prepare reports that augment the company's cost accounting system.
Ensure that costs are allocated according to established procedures.
Gather historical cost data on such activities as material purchases, labor, equipment depreciation, repairs, assembly, operating expenses, etc.
Investigate cost structures for new and existing areas of the company.
Price new services or products by developing unit costs and projecting expenses.
Prepare reports that compare budgets with actual expenses. May prepare existing or projected profitability analyses.
Compile and review budgets for corporate or organizational units using actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administration.
Prepare financial plans, monitor implementation of financial policies
Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which requires US citizenship.
Must have good communication skills.
Must be able to work independently for short durations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
6+ months experience with Excel, Access, Microsoft Word applications.
