Job Description:
The Fabrication Welder will be responsible for performing Tig and Mig welding processes (Aluminum, Steel and Stainless). Fixturing and setting up of parts using precision welding tables with fixturing. Perform assembly work. Will perform fabrication shop welding and build to tight tolerance specifications.
Essential Functions:
Welding: Tig and Mig (Flux Core) welding
Fabrication shop welding.
Read and Interpret Blueprints, and tight tolerance drawings.
Ability to communicate effectively with team and other departments.
Possess general knowledge of workmanship to military standards.
Perform TIG and MIG welding processes of Aluminum, Steel, and Stainless.
Knowledge of most metal types used for fabrication. (Steel, Stainless, Aluminum, Monel, k500)
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. Typically obtained through a combination of education and experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent with six (6) years of welding and fabrication experience.
2 years post-secondary/associates degree with two (2) years of welding and fabrication experience.
Able to successfully pass a plate test in 3 positions.
Must be a US Citizen.
