Division Description:

ITW Shakeproof Industrial Products (SIP) serves major OEMs and their tier suppliers direct and through distribution channels in the industrial market. SIP supplies metal stamped & cold headed fasteners totaling approximately $67M in revenue annually. Manufacturing / Warehouse locations include Milwaukee, WI; Broadview, IL; Watertown, WI; and Iron Ridge, WI.

Over the past 5 years, SIP has streamlined the manufacturing operations and product offerings that has resulted in a significant increase in operating efficiencies at all plants. SIP is now embarking on aggressive revenue growth and is searching for a dedicated strategic sourcing professional to lead the strategic sourcing strategy for the division and achieve results for short and long-term business objectives.

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst takes a leading role in Shakeproof Industrial's procurement process to ensure a cost effective, non-interrupted flow of material to support our internal and external customer demand. This role involves significant supplier interaction and collaboration with internal stakeholders which includes strategic sourcing, supplier and contract negotiation, project management, cost management, supplier relationship management and supplier compliance. The individual will effectively apply the ITW Toolbox to the entire procurement and supplier management process.

This position's office can be located at any of SIP's facilities - Iron Ridge, Milwaukee, Watertown, WI or Broadview, IL. and reports to the Division Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage networks of vendors and suppliers to ensure consistent supplies and competitive prices.

  • Support engineering team for new business, product launches, approval expectations, and new innovations.

  • Develop working relationships with manufacturing site to understand plant needs and expectations.

  • Analyze existing internal and external data to communicate anomalies and opportunities for efficiencies.

  • Provide comprehensive analysis to support supply chain solutions.

  • Execute / Analyze demand and issuance of purchase or production orders to suppliers and communicate on status.

  • Provide cross-functional support by completing special assignments, perform data analysis and provide historical and future data.

  • Become an expert in the ITW Toolbox and proficient at conducting continuous improvement activities to improve Supply Chain processes.

  • Analyze metrics to identify data trends and make strategic recommendations for continuous improvement of Supply Chain activities.

  • Drive quality improvements with suppliers using various corrective action methods and support supplier development activities

  • Support the development of sourcing project timelines & plans against sourcing goals and objectives

  • Assist in contract review along with the approval criteria, part routings and the implementation up to final phases of product realization.

  • Assist in PLS & 80/20 Activities to minimize our purchasing tail, determine better purchasing strategies, and identify potential improvements to our supply chain department.

  • Working relationship with ITW Corporate Strategic Sourcing Team to support various initiatives relative to commodity.

  • Additional duties as needed.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or Operations required.

  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain and or Procurement position.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems, BOM structure, manufacturing processes, product knowledge and material systems.

  • Manufacturing background preferred.

  • Above average Microsoft Excel Skills with ability to perform Advanced formulas, V-Lookups, pivot tables, knowledge of Power BI a plus, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint.

  • Self-starter, a team player, result oriented with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to effectively present verbal and written information and findings to management, customers, peers, direct reports, and suppliers.

  • Ability to multi-task and make critical business decisions based on established metrics.

  • Highly analytical with proven success utilizing critical problem-solving skills and prioritization.

  • Demonstrated ability to take data from multiple sources/formats and cleanse, categorize, and synthesize, to identify patterns and opportunities around sourcing, pricing strategies, etc.

  • Strong regard for product quality and safety standards.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment meeting schedules and deadlines with a time driven sense of urgency.

  • Willingness to travel as needed, dependent on where office is primarily located (20% - 30%).
