Position Summary:
Customer Service Representative is responsible for the accurate processing of customer orders (including but not limited to Connector Plates, Construction Hardware, TrusSteel and Equipment Parts and Services), fielding customer phone calls and questions, as well as maintaining organized files pertaining to these transactions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Enter customer orders into ERP System and ensure that they are provided to Distribution for allocation once released by Credit Department
Facilitates resolution of material quality, documentation, and receiving/invoicing discrepancies.
Log order details into tracking system
Collect payment for any Cash In Advance accounts by processing payment through credit card terminal and/or working with Accounts Receivable until check/wire is received
Field customer calls and emails regarding, but not limited to, product inquiries, order changes or special instructions, order tracking, and order issues/errors
Communicate clearly both internally with co-workers and externally with customers and vendors.
Prepare and distribute invoices to customers via mail or electronic transmission
Maintain files with support documentation for each customer
Other duties as deemed necessary
Prioritize daily incoming work and manage time appropriately to meet required deadlines
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Customer Service experience (6 months or more)
Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience with an ERP system - 6 months or more preferred
Problem solving skills
Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and electronically
Organization skills
