KBR's Defense Systems Engineering (DSE) business unit is seeking to hire an Electronic Technician Maintenance II to join our Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Operating Unit. CIP provides expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of Electronic Security Systems (ESS) and Utilities/Control Systems for the DoD, FAA, and Federal Law Enforcement.
Job Summary: The Electronic Technician Maintenance II will be involved in corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance of Video Surveillance systems at Air Force and Navy Child Centers CONUS and OCONUS in support of the U.S. Navy / Air Force CYP CCTV Lifecycle Support Service program. The work requires knowledge of basic and advanced electrical and electronic principles as they pertain to security systems and equipment installed at facilities.
Role and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following:
Provide preventive and remedial maintenance services on IP-based CCTV systems.
Diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions and failures.
Perform function tests and analysis on various systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning on all CCTV system components.
Provide on-site system training and technical support as needed.
Update web-based maintenance management system and provide tracking of government equipment.
Education/Training:
High School diploma or GED.
Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.
Experience:
Four (4) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout.
One (1) year practical experience in electronics installation.
Preference to candidate with IP-based CCTV experience.
Travel:
75% travel is required; candidate must be willing to travel throughout the United States and internationally.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A successful candidate must have a solid history of functioning in a team environment, being a self-starter, working independently with limited instruction, and meeting critical demands.
Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and to have the ability work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Standard MS Office software product knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point) is required.
Special consideration given to candidates with OEM factory training from Genetec, Axis and/or Cisco Switches.
Clearance:
A successful candidate will be subject to a background investigation.
Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40 hours. M-F 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm
This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position.
