To develop and manage a facility / product group master scheduling process for all APP line that is innovative and promotes maximization of efficiency and optimization of resources/assets internally while retaining enough flexibility to ensure that all customer needs are met in a timely and cost-conscious manner. Responsible for key supply chain performance indicators across velocity and order-to-delivery.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Incumbent is accountable for performance results from production, attachment and inventory schedules as well as order fulfillment for facilities.

This position leads efforts to develop and recommend production, attachment, and inventory schedules and performs order fulfillment activities facilities, using common processes.

The incumbent leads the development of the master production plan to accommodate customer demand within practical production capabilities and analyzes and integrates information about internal and external employment stability and efficient manufacturing and appropriate inventory levels to achieve objectives. In addition, the incumbent leads, sponsors, governs and provides support for multiple project teams working with Supply Chain Performance and Planning groups at facilities and the Global Supplier Constraint Management Team to ensure robust capacity and constraint management is used in the development of master production plans. This will involve collaboration with the GSCM Team in determine purchased finished material allocation for facilities.

The incumbent leads the development of schedules for each prime product configuration, attachments and/or related products and monitors external issues which impact scheduling, including legal requirements related to manpower and the opening, closing and softening of markets due to economic and political conditions. Depending upon the size of the facilities involved, this role may perform tactical, day-to-day work to provide schedules.

The incumbent ensures that production schedules maintain demand and sequence integrity, and provide proper product availability to dealers/customers while balancing manufacturing constraint issues and ROA objectives. This position maximizes customer satisfaction through order administration and develops the constrained S&OP forecast, aligning tactics with the long-term product capacity and working closely with the Global Supplier Constraint Management team to schedule considering capacity, constraints and enterprise material allocation rules.

This position develops availability and inventory strategies that satisfy requirements for the Rolling Business Planning (RBM) shipment forecast and reconciles fluctuating demand and the need for factory stability while minimizing inventory investment. The incumbent is accountable for the successful deployment of demand variability reduction initiatives, working with the Global Supplier Constraint Management Team, and is accountable for results.

This position works closely with facility supply chain planning, operations and engineering personnel in support of the new product introduction process, ensuring process conformance and plays a key role in the facility to manage the phasein/phaseout schedule plans for New Product Introduction.

Leads efforts to optimize product mix in short supply based on margin, forecasts, large project requirements, special customers, etc. This responsibility will be performed in collaboration with the Global Supplier Constraint Management Team, who will recommend allocation of material to facilities based on the enterprise allocation process.

Provides availability administration including demand management, special order programs, responding to critical deals, quoting delivery for large projects, etc. Prepares scheduling proposals to accommodate special situations such as strike hedge plans or reviewing costs and consequences of layoffs, carrying inventory, using plant shutdowns, etc.

Incumbent is a key facility sponsor and leads efforts to stock Product Distribution Centers with material according to the product lane strategy. This position leads facility efforts to define and deploy the facility lane strategy, working across multiple functions including plant distribution, Product Distribution Facility personnel, operations, product support and facility supply chain planning.

This position identifies areas/projects requiring attention, develops priorities, identifies work plans for staff and coordinates review of projects with facility management.

Incumbent is responsible for achieving PQVC targets across Inventory Level / Turns, Product Availability, Build Sequence compliance, Sales & Operations Planning, Demand Variation and NPI Metrics.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Knowledge / Understanding of 6 Sigma Project Management principles required

  • CPS Functional Job Role Qualified

  • APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification required

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures

  • College or university degree in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering is required

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills

  • Advanced product knowledge

  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills

  • Experience in master scheduling

  • Extensive knowledge of prime products and attachments

  • Knowledge of economic conditions and markets

  • Familiarity with company manufacturing facilities, processes, and equipment

  • Minimum of 7-10 years supply chain or related experience

  • Experience in plant scheduling, marketing, forecasting and demand planning

  • Experience in Global Purchasing, Manufacturing, Marketing or Supply Chain desired

  • Experience using common scheduling, forecasting and demand planning tools
