Job Description:
We are looking for a Material Planning Specialist to join our team who with experience in manufacturing operations using advanced MRP systems. You'll manage material schedules and production plans, ensuring resources align with manufacturing needs. Your role involves overseeing complex programs, maintaining workflow, and addressing scheduling issues. Collaborate with leaders and teams to drive process improvements. Essential Functions:
Motivated self-starter well versed in the material management and scheduling process flow
Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide array internal and external professional levels and functions
Create and publish production schedules by product line and program.
Use MRP data to identify, negotiate, and resolve conflicts between stakeholders in the scheduling process, obtaining concurrence from Program Management and Internal Research and Development (IRAD) Engineering leads on planned production priorities.
Translate MRP forecasted schedules and IMS schedules into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule.
Manage detailed scheduling of constrained operations supported by material availability, manufacturing capacity, and contractual requirements.
Coordinate system updates with shop floor and material schedulers to ensure MRP alignment.
Perform periodic evaluations of manufacturing lead-times and coordinate updates with Manufacturing Engineering.
Support metrics and processes to evaluate the reasonableness and accuracy of the Master Schedule.
Support MPS policies compliant with Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS) requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
Graduate Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and advanced concepts
Preferred Additional Skills:
Knowledge of, and experience with, FAR, MMAS, and CAS requirements, as well as ITAR and EAR regulations
Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain processes
Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong process orientation and demonstrated continuous improvement skills
Lean Six Sigma experience
APICS and/or ISM certification preferred, but not required
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $60,500- $112,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
