JOB SUMMARY: Manage all aspects of origination and portfolio credit underwriting, risk management and compliance for the line unit by effectively utilizing all resources. Implement credit practices, policies and procedures to maximize the effectiveness of the company's finance plans in promoting the retail sale or lease of Caterpillar products through Caterpillar dealers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), and non-Cat direct business within acceptable risk levels.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities may vary, but include one or more of the following:
1.Manages the areas of credit and portfolio management (modifications, transfers, refinances), risk management and compliance in the line unit.
2.Directs a staff responsible for assisting customers with credit offerings, financial credit information, company policies, and procedures as established by the line unit.
3.Approves credit, directs the credit analysis process and investigation of credit submittals, manages employees with lesser credit authority.
4.Structures and recommends credit submissions in excess of credit authority. Lines of Credit for this line unit range from $3.5M to $150M+.
5.Negotiates documentation of complex transactions, serving as liaison between the sales team and legal, tax, accounting or asset management teams regarding proposed documentation changes.
6.Serves as a key point of contact for compliance efforts for the line unit, including internal reviews and audits to ensure compliance with operational policies and regulations.
7.Assists in interviewing and hiring personnel, participates in training and oversees proper training and instruction given to personnel, initiates and manages other types of employee training, and prepares and administers employee performance reviews.
8.Assists in formulating the line units annual new business volume plan; participates in sales activities, customer visits, and presentations;
9.Participates in formulating the line unit's goals and objectives;
10.Assists in preparation of the office's annual business plan and budget;
11.Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
SKILLS ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE:
1.Advanced knowledge of finance/leasing products, policies and procedures.
2.Demonstrated knowledge of Caterpillar products, their applications and their markets.
3.Advanced knowledge of and the ability to apply math computation skills used for financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
4.Advanced knowledge of commercial law, including bankruptcy.
5.Advanced knowledge of lease accounting practices.
6.Thorough knowledge of the line unit's credit and documentation procedures, processes and operations.
7.Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures.
8.Advanced ability to apply problem solving and decision-making skills.
9.Advanced ability to analyze the financial status of customers.
10.Ability to provide an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation with fellow employees in order to accomplish given tasks.
11.Demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to apply managerial and leadership skills to develop and motivate personnel.
12.Demonstrated ability to define finance/lease markets, understand various industries, identify risks and make recommendations.
13.Ability and willingness to travel.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A 4-year university degree or an equivalent diploma in Accounting or any of the business disciplines, and a minimum of 7 years industry experience with commercial lending, marketing, credit, commercial collections, financial marketing and customer services at the retail and/or wholesale financing levels is recommended. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
