This is a senior Resilience Infrastructure Solutions Specialist position, assisting mid-level, senior GIS and application developer staff and team leaders.

The candidate will be working within HNTB's Digital Innovation Group within the Resilient Infrastructure and Strategic Planning department. Comprised of data analysts, GIS developers, planners and engineers, this team works on the most complex applications in the transportation industry. The infrastructure solutions team coordinates with HNTB client's server and data warehouses to support and develop innovative solutions to resilience and asset management needs with a digital and geospatial focus.
This opportunity entails providing innovative geospatial and best practice technology services to HNTB clients by providing support for resilience infrastructure problems of moderate scope and complexity, developing, configuring, testing, implementing and maintaining systems. Works on projects and requires skills in one or more geospatial technologies. Performs multiple concurrent assignments and may lead projects of medium to large scope.
What You'll Do:
Develops or customizes complex geospatial applications using comprehensive geospatial knowledge, project requirements and an understanding of client needs.
Assists client in determining survey and mapping needs and the most effective collection methods and technologies to meet those needs. Meets with client and technology staff to define and document system requirements. Develops system configuration specifications, conceptual and logical workflow and business process diagrams for system development or customization.
Creates and executes moderately complex system implementations according to established timeline, budget and quality expectations.
Leads projects of medium to large scope. Assists in the development of project scope, fees and proposals.
Serves as a technical resource in the application of one or more geospatial platform technologies, such as Esri, Bentley, Autodesk, and Certainty 3D. Provides user support and solves moderately complex technical problems with geospatial systems.
Codes, tests, debugs and configures solutions at a moderate difficulty level. May perform peer reviews on work performed by junior staff. Thoroughly documents and tests all work produced.
Recommends enhancements or changes to technology, methodology and process standards. Interactively and incrementally improves both products and processes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Geography or other related degree
5 years related experience
In lieu of education, 9 years related experience
What We Prefer:
Preferred candidate will bring an innovative approach to resilience projects using comprehensive geospatial and technology knowledge, project requirements and an understanding of client needs.
Expertise in the application of ArcGIS Online or Portal and ArcGIS Pro
Expertise in the application of ArcGIS FieldMaps or Survey123.
Expertise in using Microsoft Suite to use tools such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel.
Proficient in dashboard applications such as ArcGIS and Experience Builder
Understanding and exposure to various databases such as Oracle or SQL Server; developing and configuring web services for data exchange
GIS analysis skills; especially in the realm of transportation
Familiar with scripting languages such Python, Arcade and SQL
GISP Certification
