What We're Looking For
Heavy Highway Civil Infrastructure Inspection position for experienced persons with 3-5 yrs of related field work experience. Must have DOT experience and/or municipal inspection experience, and all required certifications for agency qualification.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Highway and Bridge Inspection for Design/Build DOT projects
Daily Documentation of Contractor operations and pay quantity tracking
Sampling and Testing of various materials: asphalt, concrete, soil, etc.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
INDOT experience preferred
Municipal experience preferred
Sitemanager experience preferred
Testing experience preferred

What You'll Need
Essential Responsibilities:
Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans. Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.
Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
3 years construction related experience.
All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.
