Waste Connections of Tennessee has an immediate position available for a Lead CDL Driver at our site in Knoxville, TN.
Job Description:
Waste Connections CDL Drivers operate compact rear-end load, box trucks or pickup trucks and are responsible for the collection of solid waste or recyclable material in accordance with Waste Connections Policy and Procedures, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws. Drivers will transport the material to a disposal, transfer or recycle facility when trucks reach legal load capacity. Drivers safely maneuver vehicles and navigate high traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots.
Schedule: 40-55 hours per week
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour with a $4,000 stay-on bonus
Job Type: Full-time
Minimum Job Requirements:
Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement as a minimum
Ability to lift at least 50lbs- the level of physical effort may vary from site to site and in some cases be greater or lesser than documented here.
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and physical environments most of the day. (involves dirt, odors, and noise)
Ability to adapt to changes.
Willingness to be a contributing TEAM member.
