What you'll do here:
As a valued member of the distribution team, you are responsible for leading team members and ensuring that orders will be accurately picked and packed for Cengage Learning customers.
You will be responsible for performing all duties associated with the systematic and manual processing of work through the Picking and Packing department.
Complete any needed paperwork.
Enter needed information into the systems.
Verifies accuracy of all department paperwork.
Maintain all appropriate files.
Analyze daily workload and organize employees accordingly.
Be able to safely and repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
Assign team members to various tasks.
You will keep workflow through the departments and make sound decisions.
Coaching and mentoring direct reports.
Cross-train and lead in various departments within the distribution center.
Other duties assigned.
What you'll need here:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
18 years of age or older.
Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
You should have the skillset to write legibly.
You will have the opportunity to exhibit your addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills.
Be flexible with work hours.
Basic digital literacy: Word/Excel/Outlook.
Demonstrate strong communication skills and have the ability to coach employees.
Ability to facilitate team assignments.
Stand and walk for 8-10 hours.
1 year of prior leadership.
