Summary You will serve as a Inventory Management Specialist in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE. Responsibilities You will perform daily physical inventory operations which includes planning, coordinating and evaluating actions required to support specific schedules and missions You will prepare and summit the Quarterly Physical Inventory Reports, Inventory Accuracy Report, Causative Research Statistical Report and the Quality Control Report You will conduct physical inventories of all stock assets by counting materials and recording counts utilizing AIT hand held device You will process warehouse refusals and spot inventories and make adjustments to the accountable and financial records Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying a knowledge of a wide range of well-established supply, Inventory Management and Material Management policies, procedures, rules, regulations and principals in order to perform investigative, analytical and evaluative inventory Management work in support of Systems management and physical inventory management. I have experience validating all stock physical inventory discrepancies, the maintenance of statistical control and maintaining a viable Quality Control Program to isolate and correct inventory discrepancies. I have experience evaluating the schedule throughout the fiscal year and make recommendations for schedule adjustment based on current requirements, feasibility and inventory efficiency. Examples of specialized experience may include the following; 1) Perform periodic quality control studies of all logistical supply functions (receiving, issuing, processing, material storage/delivery/movement, documentation control) to determine the efficiency and accuracy of operations; 2) Coordinate with warehouse personnel to correct any misidentified and mis- stowed materials; 3) Review and enter data into multiple databases(e.g. Enterprise Resource Planning) and local excel spreadsheets 4) Initiate financial Liability Investigative of property loss reports and forward copies for documentation as missing, lost, stolen or recovered reports; 5 )Analyze data for trends and areas that have repeat discrepancies and make corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.. Education GS-09 SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree, LL.B, J.D., or have completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to such a degree. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.
