GENERAL SUMMARY
The Rehab Aide is responsible for assisting with specific treatment programs and non-clinical duties under the direction and supervision of a licensed/certified therapist/pathologist to facilitate patient's attainment of maximum potential. Reports to department leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs and assists with specific clinical treatment/rehabilitation programs/modalities under direction/supervision of licensed therapist/pathologist.
Performs and assists with specific clerical duties and projects.
Maintains security and confidentiality of information.
Performs other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
None required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assist with meeting the therapy/rehabilitation needs of children with disabilities.
Requires ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing with the treatment team and patient.
Knowledge of the principles, practices, standards and techniques for therapy/rehabilitation modalities and equipment preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
