WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior ITS Communications, CAV & Traffic Signal Analyst for our Baltimore office. For the right candidate we will also consider remote locations. Our successful candidate will work closely with our dynamic team of transportation, transit, and ITS engineers, architects, business analysts and GIS professionals. WSP is seeking long-term career-oriented employee; someone who is flexible to learn new tools, enthusiastic, communicates well verbally and in writing, and enjoys talking with project managers to troubleshoot and solve unique challenges for transportation network, data, and systems. We are looking for the ideal candidate who has successful experience in winning and delivering work, discussing and preparing scopes of work and cost budgets with internal and external clients, and someone who is a people and team-oriented, and readiness to help build a practice and expand work opportunities everyday.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Hands-on installation, configuration, troubleshooting for ITS equipment (Cameras, RWIS, Video Walls, Traffic Signals, Detectors, etc.), fiber/copper infrastructure, communication/network testing, link/loss budgets, wireline/wireless equipment
Hands-on knowledge of traffic signal controller configurations, Signal Phase and Timing, Diagnostics, Troubleshooting, Repair, Maintenance, ability to train IOO staff in small groups
Ability to translate business/functional requirements to functional software development or systems development/engineering processes
Ability to diagram systems, connectivity paths, system and network architectures
Ability to discuss and introduce business development opportunities with internal and external clients
Ability to perform installation, configuration, troubleshooting for On-Board equipment and sensors (for traffic, transit and asset management) and Roadside equipment sensors (LIDAR, Cameras, edge computers, CAV broadcast devices), including message preparation, validation and testing.
Ability to complete assignments on-time and budget, discuss risk/benefit, develop or review the following materials: use cases, statistics, database schemas, test cases, implementation guides, users guides, administration guides, support and provide small team technical training related to specific Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge and skills.
Successfully work as part of an integral team member in English written and oral formats

Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years proven hands-on field experience in ITS devices, communications, signal controller configuration, troubleshooting and training skillsets and Agile mindset
Analysis background and in depth configuration and troubleshooting experience with traffic/transit sensor and electronics equipment testing and troubleshooting (traffic signal controllers, detectors, cameras, loops, video walls, networking, and wireline/wireless communications devices)
Working knowledge of RSUs, bench and field testing equipment
Working knowledge of current SAE, IEEE, NTCIP standards and interest in supporting working group standards development and message broadcast validation/testing
Understanding of Transportation market, client requirements and datasets
A working knowledge and understanding of project management (including budget/schedule requirements and effects on development methods and associated architectures)#LI-MC4
