Outage Specialist Coordinator - Plant Vogtle 1&2

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for scheduling all assigned refueling outage activities, including Pre-outage and Outage. Serves as the primary liaison to the department outage scheduling organizations with respect to schedule input, work status, and schedule updates. Develops refueling outage window logic structure and coordinates schedule activities associated with these windows. Attends all Outage detailed schedule meetings

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum:

- Experience directing operations activities or planning/scheduling maintenance resources in at least 3 refueling outages

- Personal computer (PC) knowledge

- Intradepartmental communications skills (verbal and written)

- Minimum of 5 years overall nuclear power experience.

- At least 3 years exempt plant maintenance or operations experience in scheduling, planning or work management experience and/or exempt plant maintenance experience

- Experience with ESOMs/Maximo/P6

- Maintenance or Operations experience as a First Line Supervisor or coordinator (SPOC) in some capacity.

Preferred:

- Shutdown Safety Program knowledge

- Technical BS Degree

- Working knowledge of mainframe and PC based scheduling tools

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for the development of detailed plans / schedules for daily, forced, planned, and refueling outages while ensuring shutdown safety, ALARA practice, Technical Specifications and plant procedures adherence.

  2. Responsible for the development and maintenance of detailed pre-outage schedules as assigned by the Scheduling Supervisor or Lead Unit Planners.

  3. Responsible to attend the various Outage Management process meetings.

  4. Solicits best practices internally and externally to improve organizational effectiveness. SNC Fleet Outage Lessons Learned, Industry meetings and industry working groups such as BWROG, PWROG, EPRI, and INPO.

  5. Supports the Outage Manager with business plan initiatives.

    Other Requirements:

- The successful candidate must meet background screening and NRC Fitness for Duty requirements.

- Must be a flexible member of the Emergency Reponse Organization (ERO).
