Overview
Audacy's TWIN division is in search of a Regional Traffic Operations Manager for its Northeast Region. This is a role that requires qualified candidates to be able to effectively lead a team of on-air reporters, Traffic data editors & producers, adapt to change, embrace innovation, manage multiple competing priorities on a routine basis and be able to respond to issues and concerns as they occur on a 24/7 basis for Audacy's TWIN operations in NY, Boston, Buffalo, Hartford, Miami, Rochester and Springfield, MA
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Leadership: Build and maintain high performing staff that serves both local and out of market AUDACY stations. Responsible for recruiting and maintaining twenty four hour staffing levels in accordance with local budget. Work with national and local content teams to ensure content continuity.
Content: Satisfy the needs of the Station Brand Manager and Market Manager vision for content execution. Oversight of all TWIN Reporters and Editors including recruiting, training and regular performance critiques
Partners: Ensure all Traffic Partners are delivering within your assigned territory as outlined in the national agreement. Responsible for oversight of all local traffic partners including but not limited to tip lines, app pushes, government authorities, etc.
Ad Operations: Manage systems in place to ensure highest level of commercial, execution and compliance
Future: Growing knowledge of local community traffic trends and new start-ups where Audacy could partner
Budgeting: Responsible for assembly and delivery of the TWIN annual operations budget for entire region (markets outlined in day to day activities)
Product Execution: Lead effort to manage TWIN execution in markets, ensuring compliance, not only in the quality delivery of TWIN reports, but also in effective execution of all TWIN platform sponsors including embedded sponsorships, entitlement mentions and in-report sponsorship integration. To be successful here, this will require routine execution monitoring in markets, along with assembling execution reports & airchecks for review by TWIN corporate managers and market POC's to isolate and escalate issues for swift remedy.
As part of the TWIN Management Team, participate in strategy development, budgeting and planning, assessment of results, and creation of appropriate action plans for the business
The anticipated starting salary range for New York City - based individuals expressing interest in this position is $70,000/yr to $77,000/yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Expertise in leading or working within broadcast traffic or news
Leading an operations function, ideally during a period of high growth or turnaround

Day to Day Duties - New York & Regional Markets
Regional TWIN oversight of content operations - Region includes New York, Boston, Buffalo, Hartford, Miami, Washington D.C. & Rochester
Scheduling Traffic reporters for 24/7 content operations
Managing Employee Time Off / Sick, and other call out from work issues
Work with Audacy teams to address and remedy issues i.e. HR, payroll, IT, etc.
Managing Payroll via the Ulti-pro system
Aircheck sessions with reporters to maintain Quality Control
Managing Off Peak Coverage (overnights/weekends)
TWIN Ad operations / Integration projects
Seek out and remedy execution issues in markets through the TWIN Listen-In initiative, which involves compiling reports & airchecks for review, along with working with TWIN corporate managers on setting a course for market remedy
Managing in-report integration sponsorship affidavits not managed by Audacy Traffic & Continuity using the TWIN entitlement mentions tracking system
Working with NY Traffic & Continuity on effective execution of signed logs after broadcast
TWIN Leadership work (budget composition / managing expenses)
Weekly TWIN Leadership meetings
Innovation projects
Managing IT, Technical and ENG issues
Social Media/Digital - integration, metrics & growth
Working closely with Sales on specs, initiatives and projects i.e. Ford Tech Tour
Daily Staff Engagement
Managing staff per the terms of the TWIN AFTRA collective bargaining agreement
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum 5-year traffic or news reporting for broadcast media
2-4 years' experience as a manager of a Traffic and/or Newsroom operation team
Knowledge of New York City,Boston, Buffalo, Hartford, Miami, Rochester and Springfield, MAcommuter Traffic geography a plus
Must have a knowledge of Social Media and a mastery on growing a digital presence
Must be computer literate, have excellent oral & writing and presentation skills
Must be able to master budget worksheets using Excel and Google Sheets
Must be proficient in audio editing software
Must be helpful in the traffic & news gathering operations
Computer skills - Proficient
Google Suite, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Email client. Must be computer literate
