As the Accounting Director for Building Construction Products (BCP) with responsibility for Mini and Micro Excavators (MHEX) and Small Dozers (STTT), you will have the opportunity to manage global team of 15 accounting and finance professionals in US, China and Japan. You will develop essential business information and provide counsel to management for all business analysis, product costing and return on investment activities. In addition, you will provide analysis and interpretation of the financial condition of the MHEX and STTT Division and development of product price strategy.
Location:
Cary, NC or Athens, GA with up to ~20% travel
Domestic relocation is available for those that qualify

What You Will Do:
Provide business analysis support by establishing target costs, cost monitoring, new product introduction analysis, value chain analysis, investment analysis, sourcing analysis, product costing and supporting worldwide new product introduction projects for MHEX and STTT products
Manage all aspects of accounting and financial reporting or development of product price strategies including annual business plan, rolling business management, long term forecast and volume flexibility planning.
Accountable for division's monthly financial reporting and analysis of business statements to assist managers in managing costs and revenues in product and operations areas
Participate in strategy development to improve accountable profit results
Develop pricing analysis and evaluates business scenarios of various pricing strategies including predictions of competitive reactions
Support Strategic & Operation Planning process that includes management of prime product and attachment scheduling & orders areas, assembly line slotting and order fulfilment
Be responsible for business analysis in manufacturing facilities in Athens (Georgia), Wujiang (China) and our partner manufacturing organizations in Japan (Oshima, Ashiozaki). Your team will be supporting investment analysis, operational results analysis as well as variable and period value added improvement initiatives across these facilities.
Lead local legal entity and accounts payable initiatives, including monthly close process, annual tax, and statutory reporting.
Lead and ensure compliance with the unit's Business Risk Management governance process and Sarbanes-Oxley controls by ensuring effective and adequate documentation of analysis
Support Caterpillar Global Finance Strategy through transformation of our processes and automation to help generate business insights.

Leadership : Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
Top Candidates Will Have:
Bachelor's degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline
Progressively Accounting or Finance experience, including cost accounting and budget development
CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred
Previous experience leading a global team
