This opportunity entails being responsible for developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the protection of the organization's assets and data. The Information Security Manager will work closely with other departments to identify and assess risks, develop security plans, and monitor compliance. Will also oversee security initiatives and projects to ensure they remain on track, communicating any delays or barriers to IT leadership.
What You'll Do:
Develops and implements security policies, procedures, and standards that meet regulatory and organizational requirements.
Identifies and assesses risks to the organization's assets and data, develops security plans to address those risks.
Acts as the primary liaison between Corporate IT and other business units on matters related to information security.
Responsible for tactical and operational aspects of information security.
Suggests and implements new security operations technologies to meet changes in business needs.
Provides leadership and guidance to the organization on security best practices and policies.
Responds to security incidents and conducts investigations as necessary.
Reviews and comments on contract language as needed.
Monitors compliance with security policies and standards and provides regular reports to senior leadership.
Collaborates with other departments to ensure security requirements are integrated into system design and development.
Keeps up-to-date with emerging threats and vulnerabilities and recommends appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree and 8 years progressive IT relevant experience, or
In lieu of education, 12 years progressive IT relevant experience
What We Prefer:
CEH, CISM, CISSP, CompTIA Security+ certification or licenses preferred.
Involvement with vendor risk assessments.
Experience with security policy and standards creation, interpretation, and maintenance.
Demonstrated knowledge of applying system security principles, policies, and regulations.
Experience working with an Endpoint security solutions.
Proven leadership of a team of security professionals
