KBR maintains and manages Army prepositioned stocks at the Army Field Support Battalion - Charleston (AFSBn-CHS) land site and aboard ship to include all logistics and maintenance operations. Job Summary
The SPO OSS is an exempt employee with a direct reporting relationship to the SPO Supply Supervisor in the Operations Department of the APS-3 Program. Employees in this position will be expected to have subject matter expertise in the automated systems provided by the Army to support the APS-3 program, along with expert knowledge of Army, and program policies and procedures. Employees in this position are expected to work autonomously with minimal supervision and can be expected to have set deliverables to management and the customer.
Roles and Responsibilities
SPO provides information to support the development of APS-3 mission and execution to include the program managers intent, concept of operations, and tasks to subordinate sections (Mant, logistics, Supply Support Activity, COSIS, PD)
Coordinate between all departments.
Identify potential shortfalls and provide sustaining resolutions.
Monitor the project operations readiness with equipment status report (ESR)
Assist with adapting and enabling all departments to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly.
Provide training to others when necessary.
Provide project updates to management, program management and the USG on a routine basis.
Perform customer service for all GCSS-A related activities in accordance with the GCSS-A End User Manual (EUM)
Generate GCSS-A Reports as required.
Perform work utilizing GCSS-Army
Monitor the control exchange/code out process for parts
Technical Research for work centers
Monitor density list for all equipment through phase 1-3.
Coordinates with supporting SSAs for requisition and turn in action to include ASL/SSL/Excess.
Requisition discrepancy research.
Manage all long lead parts. Coordinate for expediting.
Monitor and control ZOAREP/ORIL (recoverable) for adherence to Army standards.
Assist with establishing and, maintaining stock record and other documents such as inventory, materiel control, accounting, and supply reports.
Measure equipment and gather weights for TCAIMs/GATES entry.
Manage secondary and nested load trackers.
Receive/issue parts through GCSS-A
Open work orders
5990- All faults entered
Parts form- all partes entered.
Perform as the Operations cell in the Port Support Activity for all requirements related to the equipment receipt, accountability, staging, upload and download of APS-3 vessels.
Perform as the Operations cell in forward locations for all requirements related to the equipment staging, upload and download of APS-3 vessels. This also includes performing all required Operations tasks to support ammunition operations at MOTSU. This may require your availability to travel and work at other locations for extended periods of time.
Perform as the Operations cell in the Port Support Activity for all requirements related to the equipment receipt, accountability, staging, upload and download of APS-3 vessels.
Perform as the Operations cell in forward locations for all requirements related to the equipment staging, upload and download of APS-3 vessels. This also includes performing all required Operations tasks to support ammunition operations at MOTSU. This may require your availability to travel and work at other locations for extended periods of time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
US Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access
Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Common Access Card (CAC) issuance
Must be able to meet government-specified requirements for deployment
High School diploma plus 2 years of college or technical school
Minimum of 5 years' experience in production control/supply support or similar labor category
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
6 years minimum in production control or related on the APS-3, 4, or 5 programs Expertise in G-Army, GATES, and LOGSA platforms such as MMIS, AOAP, and FEDLOG
Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products
Expertise in meeting the requirements of the APS-3 PWS
Willing and able to occasionally work remotely from a TDY location for 2-4 months.
Experience in process improvement, green belt a plus
Problem solving skills
Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access
Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Common Access Card (CAC) issuance
Must be able to meet government-specified requirements for deployment
Ability to walk and stand regularly
Ability to work outdoors in the heat and cold
Ability to work overtime as required by production schedule
skilled in using of various Microsoft Office programs, basic skills in Excel and Outlook
Working knowledge of MICRO-Soft Project a plus
Working knowledge of G-Army a plus
Working knowledge of Army unit structure i.e. MTOEs, authorizations, requirements, equipment readiness and
