Plan and coordinate product distribution activities for each customer. Develop continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, productivity and customer services. Stay up-to-date with target customers, global market and supply chains. The Distribution planner is also responsible for planning and coordinating shipments from our siding plants and distribution warehouses. Driving an optimized supply chain through order flow, truck utilization and routing. Supplying key reporting and analytics around continuous improvement of process and supply chain. _OBJECTIVES:_ * Optimize truck utilization and transportation with a focus on reducing spend. * Address opportunities with loading and delivery of products from distributions locations to the supply Centers. * Develop and maintain key distribution reports that drive insightful action with a focus on results. * Drive cross-functional communication and reporting that optimizes the supply chain with a focus on customer satisfaction. * Drive analysis to reduce expenses in the supply chain and deliver the on time product need. * Balance inventory levels at each Distribution location. * Address customer service issues that controls distribution spend. _DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:_ * Coordinate, plan and execute distribution functions for the supply centers. * Monitor shipping status and drive results for optimize days to load and truck utilization. * Address inquiries regarding shipping status. Drive optimal resolution. * Prepare and maintain necessary distribution reports for management with insightful actions needed to reduce expenses while driving service. * Contact with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. * Work with transportation team to coordinate pick-up and delivery activities. * Review and recommend improvements for existing distribution process. * Work with Planners to optimize distribution channels through order and delivery flow and timing. * Work with customer service to drive optimal solutions for the direct customers. _KEY RELATIONSHIPS:_ * Supply Center Operations Managers * Corporate Supply Chain Team * Manufacturing Plant personnel * Transportation * Customer service #LI-KS1 _EDUCATION:_ * Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred) * Experience using all Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) * Excel proficient preferred * Communication skills to express ideas and concepts verbally, visually and in writing * Planning and organization to set targets / milestones and follow through on commitments * Familiarity with Vinyl Siding/ Metal/ Roofing and related building products * Experience in distribution planning * APICS certification (preferred) #Indeed-Associated All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
