Position Summary:
The Production Scheduler/Planner is a member of the Plant Operations team that works in an administrative role to support the production process in numerous areas. In addition, this individual will interact heavily with Sales and Customer Care to ensure the needs of our customers are continuously met.
Function:
This position reports to the Baxter Operations Manager and is the main contact for the scheduling of all orders.
Responsibilities:
Schedule all customer orders, provide commitment dates to Customer Care based on capacity and customer.
Develop a strong relationship with the Customer Care team and learn each Key Accounts requirements in order to fulfill their needs.
Organize, plan and manage production schedules according to orders, demand, capacity and capacity restraints.
Develop production schedules that make the most efficient use of time and resources.
Develop one common template for all department's schedules to streamline the process.
Work with manufacturing supervisors to obtain feedback about production status.
Analyze and measure the current production status and identify problem areas that inhibit full schedule execution.
Provide feedback to Manager on schedule achieved versus planned.
Monitor production numbers and have several backup plans to accommodate unexpected customer demands or production issues.
Develop and manage production planning and tracking metrics to ensure on-time delivery.
Review safety stock and ensure all commitments to key customers are met.
Maintain Kanban/MRD program.
Manage packets for install, and operations and service manuals
Create serial numbers and device data plates, and other various labels for production

Ability to work independently
Strong, clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
Ability to work under pressure.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is required.
Ability to work across functional areas to achieve desired outcomes
Adaptable, flexible, innovative, problem-solving skills, sense of urgency and listening skills
Education:
AA Degree or comparable work experience
Experience:
Knowledge in production scheduling and planning
Prior Customer Service and Purchasing experience

Travel requirement: Minimal to none
