Xylem is hiring for a Sr. Operations Manager of Digital Business to preferably be based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role could also be based out of any of our major locations in the US and allows for a flexible hybrid work schedule.
As a Sr. Operations Manager of Digital Business, your responsibilities will focus on executing the operations of Xylem's digital business platform.
The ideal candidate will have a business background that enables them to drive engagement and interact at the executive level, as well as a technical background to work with our engineering teams, service branches, and customers. Delivering value with our digital products is a must. An understanding of key IoT concepts and technologies is required.
The ideal candidate should also be able to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges. Lead the IoT team to create actionable insights that deliver value to the Field. The candidate will be able to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to gain consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and bias for action is a must.

Partner with other growth centers to increase efficiency within their business
Develop a playbook for new business for DCC execution.
Own operational responsibility for Xylem's Digital business
Manage a team including:
Digital Command Center and associated employees
IoT insights group
New technology field deployment team and technicians
Oversee the digital command center ensuring value delivered to our customers.
Optimize our user portal and intelligent automation that drive efficiency throughout our service organization.
Provide operational objectives to the IoT platform development team.
Establish a Digital Command Center space which incorporates all line of business.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business, Engineering or equivalent experience.
10+ years of cloud, IoT, or digital experience
10+ years' experience in a project/program/engagement manager role in the following subject areas:
Business Strategy
Data Science
Intelligent Automation
AI
Experience managing a program enabled by:
Cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, Data Bricks)
Process automation.
Data driven decision making.
10+ years of experience leading technical team(s) in a matrixed organization
Experience delivering complex solutions under a variety of delivery models.
Build and maintain relationships across business units; participate in cross-functional committees and build project committee schedules. This will require the position to manage a complex stakeholder network with competing needs.
Additional Dimensions
Understanding of IoT landscape and best practices in leveraging data and sensors
Ability to develop solution maps from business requirements.
Written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills.
Understanding of systems engineering concepts
General understanding of process water equipment, services and solutions
Leveraging data warehouses to create effective reporting (ETL)
Ability to generate basic reports in Power BI
The ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis.
Business case development
Modeling techniques and methods
