Job Description

Regal is a leading manufacturer of electric motors and controls, power generation products and power transmission products serving customers throughout the World. Our Lincoln, Missouri location currently produces DC Motors and is growing to further exceed our Customer's expectations and product lines. The Operations Manager is responsible for maximizing production while delivering a quality product by successfully managing and coordinating manufacturing functions within a single facility. Demonstrating our Values, the incumbent will establish and manage procedures and policies to achieve effective production schedules, product standards, and operational costs. Performance Expectations Manage, initiate, control, and direct the activities of plant employees and equipmentOversee the proper application of policies and proceduresForecast machines and staffing needed for future work assignmentsCoordinate daily production and the scheduling of machinery to ensure efficient and effective use of facilityManage maintenance requirements to ensure machinery down-time is minimized and productivity maintainedImplement the principles of the company's cost control systemEnsure effective supervision is maintained in all areas of the plantEnsure jobs are manufactured on a timely basis to meet customers' demandsEnsure that jobs are manufactured by the most efficient mannerMaintain regular liaison with supervisors relating to production problems and needs to meet company demandsReview delivery requirements and machine production to ensure customer delivery requirements are successfully metPartner with Human Resources to ensure competitive wage ratesNetwork with other facilities and other managers to exchange information and solve problemsCompare budgets to actual expenditures and make financial projectionsCalculate labor and manufacturing costs to ensure costs are minimized while production is maximizedDesired Characteristics Proven understanding of how facility performance impacts the areas of safety, delivery, cost, quality, and serviceAble to effectively communicate with customers regarding problem solving and marketingAble to make decisions about suggestions for changeAbility to work independently and participate in a team setting Credentials Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field or combination of education and minimum eight years previous experienceAbility to use various computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointAbility to accurately track expenses and run projectionsDesired Additional Qualifications Proven understanding of how facility performance impacts the areas of safety, delivery, cost, quality, and serviceAble to effectively communicate with customers regarding problem solving and marketing5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment; CNC Machining and assemblyGreen Belt in Lean Six Sigma acquired within 3Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
