We are seeking a motivated and versatile individual to join our team, working with key customers in North America. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside the world's leading mining companies with the latest in fleet management software and autonomy technology. Fleet management systems and autonomy are sophisticated investments, and the customers that use them are equally cutting-edge. This position offers management-level exposure as mining companies look to Caterpillar's expertise to advise and implement mining operational best practices and procedures with respect to both fleet management systems and autonomy technology. This role's work roster will align with that of our customers and may adjust based on the project you are currently focused on. Your knowledge of MineStar Fleet Management System will assist mine sites in optimizing system performance.
What you will do:
Assisting the Implementation Team install and configure MineStarR Fleet.
Coaching the mine operations group to achieve maximum performance of MineStarR Fleet.
Supporting and advising MineStarR Fleet Controllers in all aspects of MinestarR system performance, including minimizing downtime.
Assisting the Implementation Team install and configure MineStarR Command.
Providing technical support to MineStarR on-board maintenance Supervisors and Technicians.
Through close collaboration internally and externally, you will become a trusted advisor for the customer.
Supporting hardware and software installation and configuration through establishing Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
Measure, benchmark and report on MineStarR Fleet System performance, and suggest opportunities for improvements.
Developing training and process material.
What skills you will have:
Technical Excellence: Extensive experience in mining technology products and product applications, including Fleet Management systems; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Field Support: Knowledge of and experience with providing post-sales support; ability to support maintenance of hardware products.
Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner..
Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.
Effective Communications: Superior communication skills - both written and verbal - that range from operational and technical discussions to dealer and executive presentations. Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills - strategic, inquisitive, solution-focused, and engaged in peer-to-peer support. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Relationship Management: Superior relationship building skills and the ability to influence teams to successfully execute all aspects of customer agreements. Strong change management skills.
Top Candidates will also have:
College degree in mining engineering, automation, or IT.
Working knowledge of Caterpillar, heavy equipment, product support, telematics, safety, and environment operations.
Demonstrated deep subject matter expertise and experience in the management of equipment fleets or direct responsibility for maintenance & repair contract management.
Field experience working with/for Cat Dealers or customers.
Additional information:
The location for this position is Tucson, AZ, or Peoria, IL.
This position will require 25 - 50 % travel.
