As a Senior Product Supply NPI Professional you will be responsible to execute the planning, coordinating, governing, and reporting of procurement and supplier management participation in the new product introduction (NPI) process as a core team member supporting Building Construction Products (BCP) division. This includes validation and governance to meet program commitments and create synergy amongst highly collaborative teams (Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Purchasing) to execute meeting overall program quality, cost, and timeline commitments.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the planning, coordinating, and governing of advance product quality planning (APQP), sourcing, supplier quality, material cost, supplier readiness, and timeliness conformance to delivery NPI commitments with teams.

  • Assist in creation of supplier tooling forecast and ongoing management.

  • Demonstrate leadership to assess risks, determine the best course of action to mitigate, and drive collaboration across multiple departments to resolve NPI opportunities.

  • Monitor and communicate results on NPI progress weekly and/or monthly to stakeholders.

  • Work closely with buyers, supplier development engineers, and engineering contacts daily on NPI deliverables.

What You Have (Basic Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree OR demonstrated progressive experience in directly related roles.

  • Track record of delivering impactful results related to complex project management and new product introduction (NPI).

  • Proficiency in data-driven decision making, with a demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data to inform strategic decisions.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams, stakeholders, and suppliers.

  • Experience in advance product quality planning (APQP).

Top Candidates Will Have :

  • Strong knowledge of Caterpillar products and supply base.

  • Experience in PCM (Product Cost Management) and Teamcenter.

  • High level of attention to detail and strong data manipulation skills within Excel.

  • Strong leadership ability to influence cross-functional teams for effective planning & implementation.

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills in dealing with sensitive issues and reaching consensus on specific actions.

  • 6 Sigma experience with tools, techniques and/or Lean Manufacturing.

  • Professional certification in Purchasing and/or Inventory Management preferred: APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or comparable certification.
