ITW is looking for a Manager, Financial Systems to work within its Corporate Finance & Accounting Department maintaining and assisting with development of its financial consolidation system, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Financial Data Quality Management, Enterprise Edition (FDMee) and legacy applications. The Manager will lead the team that is responsible for effective operations, maintenance and training of financial systems. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Financial Systems.
Primary Responsibilities
Provides leadership and manages the day-to-day team priorities and work assignments to ensure deadlines, standards and team goals are achieved.
Manages team responsible for all functional aspects of consolidation system, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and ITW's data collection tool. This includes application administration, user security, metadata management, reporting, and end user training and technical support.
Regularly updates functional and cross-functional management on status, key risks and opportunities.
Assures compliance with proper policies, procedures and SOX controls.
Maintains system and process design standards and system documentation.
Serves as a business analyst, ensuring cross functional understanding of issues to drive solutions.
Coordinates with third party support providers for prompt issue resolution.
Partner closely with the IT department to ensure system alignment with finance user requirements.
Oversees all enhancement, process improvement and documentation projects related to financial systems and ensure they support the enterprise strategy.
Manage/monitor data integrity by performing problem identification and resolution of issues related to financial applications.
Provide data insight, extraction, and analysis as required to meet the needs of internal customers.
Interfaces with the user community for training needs and trouble shooting.
Applies knowledge of financial systems and business processes by recommending efficiency and quality assurance improvements to systems application usage or systems processes.
Lead system upgrades and application/system modification development.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Information Technology
6+ years of experience working with Financial Systems in a large corporate financial reporting department
Previous experience in financial consolidation application administration required; HFM specific experience strongly preferred
Experience working with UiPath preferred
Basic understanding of VB script and SQL queries
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a diverse and multicultural environment
Strong analytical skills to problem solve and implement solutions
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Possess an understanding of financial processes, such as close, consolidations & reporting, planning and forecasting and reporting
