We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable & Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of routine clerical accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures. This role involves examining, verifying, and correcting accounting transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy, reconciling bank accounts, posting and balancing ledgers, processing payments, and compiling segments of monthly closings and invoices.
Accounts Payable:
Review and process vendor invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Accumulate and verify purchase orders and receipts against invoices.
Prepare and maintain accounts payable reports and reconciliations.
Accounts Receivable:
Generate and send out invoices to customers, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding invoices, addressing any issues or disputes.
Record and reconcile incoming payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card transactions.
Data Management:
Maintain organized records of all financial transactions, ensuring easy access for audits and reporting purposes.
Update and manage the accounts payable and receivable databases.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including accounts payable and receivable aging reports.
Provide support for annual audits and assist in responding to auditor inquiries.
Collaboration:
Work closely with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
Coordinate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
Compliance and Best Practices:
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounts payable and receivable operations.
