What this looks like (starts after 90 days):
On your 1st day you will receive 40 hours of Paid Time Off and will earn an additional 60 hours of Paid Time Off during your 1st year!

As a Team Lead at Caterpillar you will:
Have knowledge of all logistical procedures, and standard work in assigned work area
Use various Caterpillar systems and applications to prioritize and process inbound shipments
Follow and utilize CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work
Multitask and prioritize work
Train new and develop existing employees
Liaison between team members and section managers
First point of contact for questions related to employee job functions
Performance of administrative functions and may be accountable for daily team PQVC metric boards
May provide input on workflow tactics
May communicate with cross-functional leaders
Communicate potential logistical challenges, inventory or manpower issues, and solutions to the section manager
Demonstrates decision-making ability
Basic Requirements
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Forklift certified or experience operating a forklift
At least 1-year logistical experience
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally lift parts up to 35 pounds individually or 70 pounds as team lift
Occasional bending, reaching and squatting while performing tasks
Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed
Ability to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
Ability to Stand and/or sit at a desk while performing tasks
Top Candidates will have:
Experience using MTS / ERP systems in a logistical environment
1 year of leadership experience preferably in manufacturing/logistics
Schedule
Monday- Thursday 2 PM-10 PM
Mandatory overtime is required yet scheduled in advance.
