Core customers are Airports and Airlines in all countries around the World.
Core products are Power Supply Units for aircraft parked on the ground.

Responsible for managing shipment of product to / from domestic, international, internal, and external customers & vendors as required.
Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
Negotiate transportation rates and services for domestic and international logistics.
Create, develop and write policies or procedures for logistics.
Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, training and safety records as required.
Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation documentation.
Key contact concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports / exports, and customer issues.
Manage carriers, freight forwarders and custom broker processes such as selection, qualification, and performance evaluation.
Develop import / export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit and delivery.
Develop programs with suppliers and / or customers to improve supply chain efficiency and sustainability.
Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems and processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, and shipping.
Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes / mixes, and carriers.
Direct inbound and outbound logistics operations, such as transportation, warehouse activities, safety performance, and logistics quality management.
Analyze all aspects of logistics including regional, international, and global transportation to determine the most cost-effective and efficient means of transporting products and materials.
Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers, using transportation management, electronic logistics marketplace, or electronic freight information systems, to improve efficiency, speed, and quality of transportation services.
Provide transportation quotes as requested and provide options for optimum cost while meeting customer expectations.
Provide import duties and tax costs.
Knowledgeable and a strong proponent of applying the ITW Toolbox to achieve business goals and improvements.
Functional Experience -
Transportation -- Knowledge of principles and methods for goods by air, rail, sea, barge or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
Customs Regulations-Knowledge of import and export procedures in base country and other countries as required.
Production and Processing -- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods.
Industry experience- Manufacturing preferred. Working day to day knowledge of shipping/logistics. (3 to 5 yrs or relevant experience)
Language - English required. Bi lingual English/Spanish helpful.
Education - Bachelor's Degree preferred, not required
