Our Americas Distribution Services Division (ADSD)provides governance and administrationof CatR dealers acrossthe U.S., Canada and Latin America.

The Marketing & Sales Operations Representative is responsible for applying previous experience and knowledge of process improvement methodologies to improve dealer marketing and sales capabilities and overall customer experience. The individual is a liaison between dealers, customers and other Caterpillar personnel. The role supports dealer processes crossing all industries for both prime product sales and product support.

Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Advising dealers on marketing, sales and customer-related strategies, systems and processes

  • Advising and supporting the dealer marketing department transformation in to digital sales organizations

  • Counseling dealers in developing people, by identifying performance or training gaps and defining action plans and solutions to maximize sales, marketing, and product support team effectiveness

  • Advising on existing and potential customer experience issues and improvement measures such as recommending ways to enhance market coverage and customer experience through training, technology enabled and bundled solutions, etc.

  • Consulting with dealers on marketing and sales strategy planning including developing strategies and plans to improve dealer effectiveness and identifying potential opportunities for increasing sales

  • Consulting with dealers on process improvement methods and assisting with process evaluation

  • Assisting dealers in business planning and on effectiveness of meeting expected business results

  • Overseeing and promoting programs that increase sales while achieving targeted price realization and profit margins

  • Leverage skills in reading and interpreting financial statements, translating actions into impact on dealer financial measures (revenue, profit and loss) and consult with dealers in this area

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing/Marketing Communications

  • 5+ years of previous work experience

  • Experience developing improvement plans and executing for success

  • Experience working across the matrix or with a broad range of groups to deliver results

  • Proven ability to work on increasingly more complex assignments and provide direction to lower-level representatives on various project assignments

  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of working time (domestic)

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Strong, proven interpersonal skills including public presentation proficiency and a demonstrated ability to earn trust and credibility with senior management teams

  • Previous field experience
