Job Description: This position will be part of the team to provide Contracts support for Armed Overwatch at the prime contract level representing multiple L3Harris sites. This Contracts professional should have proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management. Recommends enhancements to systems and processes. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results. May manage projects or processes and communicate with U.S. Government and internal team.

Essential Functions:

  • This position will plan, conduct and direct projects or major phases of significant project assignment, coordinating the efforts of internal stakeholders in the performance of assigned activities. Administers moderate to large contracts of great complexity. Independently negotiates with the customer contract terminology, pricing, technical requirements, scope and terms. Recommends contract changes, including major revisions and coordinates the preparation and final negotiation of change orders, supplemental agreements, price re-determination, etc. affecting the life of the contract. Ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements to protect the company.

  • Monitors internal progress of contracts with various business units to ensure fulfillment of contract requirements. Monitors and reviews for completeness, accuracy and conformance with Federal and Defense procurement regulations and company procedural requirements.

  • Prepares all necessary internal reports for management and periodic reports to customer contracting officers/buyers as required.

  • Preparing, negotiating, and administering a large volume of contracts of various types for a variety of customers.

  • Ensuring contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, customer specifications, FAR, DFAR and ITAR.

  • Reviewing RFQs; preparing quotes including change proposals; performing associated negotiation and defining activities.

  • Performing risk assessment of quotes/contract terms and conditions; formulating and executing strategies to minimize potential risks to the business.

  • Working with customers, management, and program teams to resolve issues, secure approvals, and ensure successful contract execution.

  • Serving as point of contact for the customer during all phases of a program.

  • Generating and maintaining contract documentation.

  • Preparing, negotiating, and administering a large volume of contracts of various types for a variety of customers.

  • Ensuring contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, customer specifications, FAR, DFAR and ITAR.

  • Reviewing RFQs; preparing quotes including change proposals; performing associated negotiation and defining activities.

  • Performing risk assessment of quotes/contract terms and conditions; formulating and executing strategies to minimize potential risks to the business.

  • Working with customers, management, and program teams to resolve issues, secure approvals, and ensure successful contract execution.

  • Serving as point of contact for the customer during all phases of a program.

  • Generating and maintaining contract documentation.

  • Knowledge of FAR and DFARS required and functional knowledge of ERP systems input and report generation.

  • Assisting in proposing and negotiating contracts for the company's products and services in prime and subcontracting environments

  • Ensuring compliance with federal procurement regulatory requirements and providing the primary customer interface on related issues

  • Advising management on business decisions from a contractual perspective and facilitating customer interface regarding contract performance matters

  • Providing in-house guidance and training on federal procurement regulatory matters to Program Managers, Division staff, and other stakeholders

  • Negotiating terms and conditions with both government and commercial customers

  • Acting as the primary company interface with customer contracting officers and procurement agents.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate degree and minimum of 2 years experience.

  • Active Clearance desired or ability to obtain clearance.

  • Experience with FAR/DFARS

  • Experience with U.S. Government Contracting (FFP, CPFF, CPAF, T&M)

    Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SAP
