We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Americas Distribution, Service & Marketing (ADSM) Division.
The Risk & Compliance Professional for the Dealer Service Tools (DST) team will be a principal contributor to ensure non-emissions regulatory compliance and safety for the DST product portfolio. This role is responsible for understanding worldwide regulatory requirements as communicated by Caterpillar's Product Compliance and Support (PC&S) organization, identifying part numbers from the DST product portfolio that fall within the scope of those requirements, managing market access (the ability for worldwide dealers to order) for impacted part numbers from the Tools portfolio, and working with DST engineers and suppliers to achieve compliance with applicable regulations. This position interfaces across multiple organizations, is expected to understand and relay compliance requirements to the service tools organization, will develop regulatory compliance strategies for families of tools, will be accountable for developing means to track compliance status by part number, and will serve as the primary point of contact and communicator for the state of regulatory compliance of the Dealer Service Tools product portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Understand product regulatory and safety requirements for the Dealer Service Tools portfolio. This includes, but not limited to, conformance to engineering standards, European Union (EU) REACH, RoHS, and WEEE directives, product marketing and labeling requirements
Conduct product safety audits for the Dealer Service Tools portfolio
Drive team understanding and accountability to comply with conformance documentation requirements such as product conformity declarations, safety risk assessments, and Technical Construction Files
Execute compliance activities across the Service Tools portfolio which includes evaluation of supplier collected compliance information for purchased products
Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in a compliance related field, or 4 or more years of compliance related experience
2 or more years' experience working with large data sets
Experience with MS Excel, Power BI, or related software
Ability to travel domestically up-to 10% of the time
Top Candidates will also have:
Demonstrated history of being a self-starter
Strong analytical skills (ability to understand technical requirements and correlate to affected product)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for relaying complex technical requirements
Project Management experience
Experience with development or management of database information
Experience working with suppliers
Knowledge of Caterpillar 1E specifications
6 Sigma training or experience
Materials background
Product design and development experience
Purchasing or supplier development experience
