Responsible for efficient staff scheduling to meet production needs. The position will work with the Logistics Specialist in the Donor Recruitment Department and other Field Managers. Maintains a leadership role in preparing for team meetings, participating and presenting to teams at weekly and monthly meetings. Represents DS at weekly DS/DRD meetings. Acts as a liaison between DS and DRD to maintain a solid working relationship and manage and provide solutions pertaining to blood drive scheduling and DS staffing blood drives. Responsible for generating and timely submission of staffing schedules to all staff members. Requires critical analysis to ensure proper skill sets are utilized for mobiles, changes are communicated appropriately and appropriate budgeting of resources is secured. Consults with assigned departments to understand their resource networks and determines the logistics resources required to support equipment and personnel.Supports organizational quality efforts by accepting responsibility for:Reporting any problems relating to product, process, and quality systems.Initiating, recommending, or providing solutions through designated channels.Participating in the implementation of solutions to problems.Verifying the implementation of solutions.Controlling further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been correctedESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Responsible for the development and oversight of a centralized scheduling system.Responsible for the strategic and operational planning of production logistics operations.Provides efficient customer support service, management, and people skills.Manages the day-to-day logistical operations of mobile scheduling and activities.Coordinates to ensure mobiles are efficiently staffed.Coordinates new hire inclusion into global schedule.Coordinates the weekly mobile pick up schedule for volunteers and couriers.Ensures appropriate equipment is requested.Works with outside vendors as needed (for example Hemasphere).Evaluates the Hemashpere calendar for CBC to identify potential issues with blood drives based on historical data evaluation.Tracks and analyzes production metrics.Makes necessary improvements in efficiency and/or reduction of cost.Creates monthly reports regarding production efficiency, staffing levels, and other manufacturing logistics as needed.Ability to forecast future staffing needs.Provides recommendations for efficiencies.Provides field support when issues arise.Promotes customer service and a positive image of CBC to the community.Maintains prompt and regular attendance.Compliant with CBC safety procedures and policies.Works with DRD Logistics Specialist to provide mobile set ups in Hemasphere.May frequently work more than 40 hours per week.Must be able to confidently communicate and interpret intermediate information in English to all members of the public and CBC staff.EDUCATION:Minimum of Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred. Experience in logistics as it pertains to production planning and scheduling.
