Job Descriptions:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data including availability of product, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution. Maintains database(s) of logistics information.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recommends and selects transportation partners based on complex criteria of cost, performance, capabilities, etc.
Discovers the most cost-effective shipping modes, organizes and optimizes shipping schedules.
Tracks in-and outbound shipments, ensures complete transparency of in-transit material.
Utilizes analytical methods and a variety of tools to understand, predict, and/or control logistics operations and processes.
Responsible for data management, analyzing performance, and identifying problems, and developing recommendations that support logistics management.
Computes metrics such as on-time delivery rates, order fulfillment rates, or inventory turns.
Responsible for auditing transportation accessorial charges by carrier and customer.
Daily management of freight settlement documents to ensure the proper accruing of freight.
Liaising with customers, suppliers, and operations. Works cross functionally to rectify defective or unacceptable goods and subsequent actions
Participates in meetings, conferences, seminars, training, and other technical programs to remains current in logistics management policies, procedures, and technological developments in the industry as related to assigned function.
Responsible for participating in, or leading as directed, lean process improvements and problem-solving activities.

EDUCATION:
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 2 years in a Logistics or Transportation related environment; Required
Thorough understanding and practical application ability in Statistical Methods: Preferred
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Required
Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning): Preferred
Experience with SAP: Preferred
Project 44: Preferred
Tableau: Preferred
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES:
Valid driver's license must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standard
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
May require travel domestically and internationally for training purpose
