Overview

Consumer and Business Lending Technology Solutions is a systems team that supports Consumer Lending, Business Solutions, and Credit Policy and Analytics at Navy Federal. Through partnerships with the Information Services Department (ISD) and various enterprise resources, Consumer and Business Lending Technology Solutions lead several system and software initiatives that are compliance and efficiency driven. The Summer Associate will support the projects led by the Consumer and Business team including the adoption and implementation of a new consumer loan origination system, assisting with onboarding new vendors, documenting processes and procedures, developing reports, and assisting the support team with data purging, access management, among other duties.

Responsibilities will include reviewing the current intake submission process and capturing technical documentation to identify efficiencies among the existing workflow(s).

The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2024 and ending in August 2024. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2024 or later.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit and document requirements for intakes, business, and execution teams

  • Retrieve, analyze, and validate process flows to determine accuracy

  • Work directly with project leads to understand requirements and propose key solutions to drive effective decision-making and influence business objectives

  • Analyze and summarize business operations, customer, and/or requirement data to improve processes

  • Collaborate with business unit stakeholders and management to conduct needs assessment to support objectives

  • Effectively communicate outcomes to business stakeholders and leadership

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Operations Management, or other related field

  • Experience developing process flows with clear, concise instruction

  • Experience creating technical documentation and eliciting requirements

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Experience working with ambiguous problems

  • Curious and excited to collaborate with various business units

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report onsite 4-16 days each month.
