Description
Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Project Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems in the Test Instrumentation & Lethal Mechanisms Department which develops Electronic Safe & Arm Devices, Proximity Sensors, as well as telemetry systems. These products are in current production in support of several weapons systems customers with increased production over the next several years with annual revenue around $5M.
Primary Responsibilities
Candidate will be responsible for the planning, tracking, and executing of complex tasks within technical, schedule, and budget constraints. Projects will involve diverse technology areas including electronics, payload integration, and system integration. In addition, candidate will be responsible for generating management reports, briefing senior leaders on project status, and maintaining a healthy business rhythm to ensure contract deliverables, program reviews, and other artifacts are continuously improved. Candidate will also be responsible for responding to proposals and generating basis of estimates for pricing activities.
Basic Qualifications
Must have BA/BS degree with a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience in project management/execution or Masters with at least 6 years of experience.
Demonstrated ability leading and executing tasks while working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
Experience in management of manufacturing projects and delivering hardware.
Experience generating cost estimates for manufacturing or production programs.
Must be a US citizen and a resident of Huntsville, Alabama, *or * be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.
Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with executing DoD projects
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Strong technical background

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
