Description
Leidos Dynetics, is seeking a talented Project Engineer to support Defense and Civil Space Systems in the Space Division. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
As a core member of the team, you will play a valuable part in supporting and executing various program capabilities for a variety of customers. You will be required to support multiple tasks in parallel, productively contribute to and lead team environments, and communicate effectively to management, coworkers, and customers. You must also be self-motivated and highly organized with a focus on managing customer expectations with a constant goal of generating high quality products that exceed stakeholder expectations.
Primary Responsibilities
The Project Engineer will have a key impact on program execution and will:
Directly support program management office in successful execution of all aspects of the program(s) including cost, schedule, procurement, integration, resource management
Work with technical leads to define and evaluate resources and schedule required to complete defined work
Participate in Make/Buy decisions
Participate in applicable IPT meetings to assure technical integration
Participate in review/preparation of variances, exceptions and/or waivers to requirements
Assist the systems engineering team with requirements management to assess conflicts, gaps, and adequate flow down and decomposition of the program requirements
Participate in design/test/certification reviews
Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of four years of direct engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work in a team, and develop cooperative relationships
Ability to track multiple tasks and prioritize work independently
Self-motivation and quick learner to adapt to the broad array of subjects and issues encountered
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office software tools, including Project and Visio
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or be willing to relocate
Preferred Qualifications
Project Engineering experience/background or a desire to learn project engineering
Experience with supply chain management and ability to work with suppliers to help them meet both hardware and non-hardware deliverable requirements
Have experience in mechanical manufacturing environments, testing, and/or product design

Pay Range:
Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
