What You'll Be Working On-
The Operating Systems Manager, Technology & Testing is responsible for supporting digital tools and initiatives focused on enhancing the store operational experience. This role will work cross-functionally with IT, Marketing, Field Operations, and other business stakeholders, along with vendors and franchisees to deliver ongoing projects such as delivery, E-Comm systems, and point of sale updates that enable Baskin-Robbins to achieve business goals and drive operational excellence.
This role requires a person with deep understanding of restaurant operations, who can facilitate the relationship between the restaurants and the systems used daily as well as manage project criteria and timelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify ideas, scope features, problems and solutions across various technology systems, restaurant operations & business processes to enhance restaurant execution and drive sales growth
Leverage the latest technology and best practices in the QSR industry to create systems and infrastructure which will enable franchisee growth and profitability
Manage and execute hands-on testing, training, and deploying of restaurant systems, new releases, enhancements, and initiatives to include products and equipment, platform processes such as delivery, e-Commerce, mobile ordering and Point-of-Sale
Support the development of the IT product roadmap for Operations initiatives - including planning, prioritization, trade-offs, stakeholder communication, and implementation
Build strong relationships with franchisees to understand their business needs and translate them into workable requirements
Manage and expand on existing internal systems including labor management, inventory management, and production systems
Identify and implement a support systems for launched processes and new systems deployed
Align with current teams/processes and support ongoing improvements to make them more efficient
Ensure project teams have a proactive approach to deliver against commitments and project requirements
Continually seek opportunities to drive greater impact through our existing systems/tools, prioritizing product and feature enhancements that align with overall product roadmap and brand strategy
Lead project teams and facilitate kick-off calls with cross-functional partners
Facilitate communications to field personnel and franchisees regarding operating system updates
Refine the training processes to efficiently impart operational knowledge to franchisee, team members and field personnel
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree preferred
4-8 years experience in restaurant/store operations, consulting
2+ years technical experience preferred (Point-of-Sale, delivery programs, mobile ordering)
Experience translating product features and experiences into platform capabilities and requirements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to interdependently develop and successfully execute tactical plans
Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously keeping program deliverables on track
Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors and navigating discussions and potential conflicts
Highly analytical approach to problem solving using both qualitative and quantitative data; natural curiosity and desire for continuous improvement
Highly collaborative, with strong communication and organizational skills
Experience working with franchisees and managing product/program feedback and navigating conversations
