What you will do:
As a Painter Lead, you will manage the paint booth and be responsible for the correct set up and operation of powder painting equipment. You will be able to respond quickly to defects and troubleshoot machinery. You are responsible for reporting paint quality metrics such as first pass yield, defects per unit, etc.
What you have:
Experience in equipment paint processing OR a paint related certificate or degree (trade school / technical degree)
Experience in topcoat, prime coat and electrostatic paint
Ability to read blueprints / engineering drawings
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
Ability to perform repetitive operations
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Top candidates will also have:
One year of powder coat paint experience
Prior team lead or supervisory experience
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Intermediate proficiency with MACH 1/Warehouse Management experience
Intermediate proficiency with SAP

1st Shift: $23.41 / hour
Monday-Thursday 4 day/10-hour shift schedule
Ten-hour shift beginning at 7 a.m.
3rd Shif t:$25.28 / hour (includes 8%-night shift premium)
Sunday-Friday 5 day/8-hour shift schedule
Eight-hour shift beginning at 10 p.m.
*Role requires overtime as needed to support business needs*
Caterpillar will provide a cash sign-on bonus of $750, less applicable withholdings and taxes, to be paid as soon as administratively practical upon completion of your first day of employment.
