Job Description

Purpose of Job

We are seeking a hardworking Facilitator Intermediate Level -Retail Banking (Deposits/Credit Cards) for our Tampa Office.

Facilitates and delivers training programs to attain learning objectives and meet learners' needs. Facilitates learning on a variety of subjects including sophisticated technical competence, customer service skills and USAA culture. Supports facilitation of programs that develop employee growth. Facilitated learning can take place in person or via virtual environment.

Job Requirements

Tasks:

  • Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.

  • Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.

  • Facilitates learning discussions, learning activities, coaching, and small group interactions.

  • Instructs employees on job specific technical and customer service skills in multiple learning environments including classrooms, labs, and virtual capabilities.

  • Identifies employee performance level and provides developmental feedback.

  • Supports peers, customers, management and Instructional Design and Development on business initiatives, development of curriculum and learning solutions.

  • Maintains business and learning skills/acumen through skills update and professional development.

  • Identifies needed course maintenance, makes recommendations, and completes course revisions as appropriate.

  • May play role of Producer for virtual courses as a learning opportunity for courses not yet fully qualified to facilitate.

  • Maintains continuing education records to include administration, coordination, and filing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree: OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • 2 years facilitator/instructional experience to include business relevant training, teaching, coaching, training design, development, facilitation and/or learning deployment; or progressive operational experience with a concentration on teaching/training/coaching.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, facilitate training, and provide one-on-one coaching.

  • Developing knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Knowledge of learning theories, adult learning principles and instructional design model.

  • Experience with virtual technology and ability to deliver training remotely.

  • Applicable licenses as required by CoSA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Subject matter expert in Retail Banking (Deposit/Credit Cards).

  • Cross-trained or willing to cross-train in Consumer Lending.

  • Travel 25% or more to facilitate courses in other offices.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work outside core hours, as needed.

  • Ability to perform moderate and sophisticated tasks under minimum supervision in a classroom environment.

Compensation:

USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $54,800-$98,700.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.

*Geographical Differential : Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.

Shift premium will be addressed on an individual basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
