Position Description:KBR has an immediate opening for an experienced administrative assistant reporting to the Integrated Fires operating unit Senior Program Manager. In this role, you will provide administrative and secretarial support. Typical duties include general clerical, receptionist, and project-based efforts. Some responsibilities may be unique to this organization but are primarily administrative in nature, such as meeting coordination, travel support, and reconciling expense reports. Under limited supervision, you will work within the Integrated Fires operating unit to complete tasks in accordance with established procedures. The position requires the chosen candidate to exercise considerable autonomy in completing projects on schedule. Assignments generally include preparing complex reports and maintaining complicated records requiring careful selection, classification, or compilation of information from several sources. Requires the ability to perform basic numerical, statistical, and/or financial analysis. The successful candidate applies common sense understanding to execute written or oral instructions. The position requires the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. While occasional teleworking may be authorized, this full-time position is in Huntsville, Alabama and is performed primarily in a KBR off government site facility.
Job Requirements:
US Citizen and ability to obtain Secret security clearance
High School Diploma
7+ years of experience providing administrative support, preferably in the DoD engineering contracting community
3+ years of experience providing administrative support in organizations of 100+ personnel
Preferred Experience:
Undergraduate degree and 15 years of applicable experience
Proven experience with Deltek, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, MS Office suite, operational processes, and P-Card management
Demonstrated ability to communicate, multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Ability to develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient
