The Software and Cyber SME will work on project teams with other consultants representing multi-disciplinary skillsets and contribute to the development of a variety of technical documents requiring SW Development, SW Assurance, and Engineering best practices and Cyber content.
Implement and assess effectiveness of Risk Management Framework (RMF) security controls for traditional IT, Platform IT (mission systems), and Operational Technology
Evaluate cyber risk assessment results and communicate the results to technical and non-technical audiences including but not limited to program managers, systems & software engineers, common control providers and security controls assessors
Employ System/SW Development & Lifecycle Sustainment expertise (including Waterfall, Incremental & Agile methodologies) to the benefit of applicable Client/Customer and Serco SW projects
Leverage experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and SW development tools to provide input and recommendations for Customers requiring support for digital transformation planning and execution
Develop Customer briefings, studies & reports and support meetings & presentations
Support bid and proposal efforts involving SW/IT/Cyber expertise
Contribute to Customer engagement and business development efforts
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you must have:
Active Top Secret security clearance
Bachelor's Degree
At least 1 current Cybersecurity Workforce (DoD 8570) Certification
12 or more years of experience developing, testing and sustaining software such as embedded operational flight program (OFP) software, mission planning software, support systems software, data analysis software
10 or more years of experience in developing, integrating, and executing IT, Cyber Security, Information Assurance, and Information Security
Demonstrated knowledge of the Risk Management Framework
Working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) Cyber Operation
Working knowledge of IT and Cyber policies, instructions, directives, and technical guidance
Experience performing as or working closely with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) or Information System Security Officer (ISSO)
Project Management experience in full spectrum System/SW Development Lifecycle
Experience as a Senior Software Engineer on a USAF weapon system(s) with responsibility for the security architecture of the system(s)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Ability to work in a highly dynamic, complex, and deadline-intensive environment
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Pipelines in Azure DevOps
Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure Cloud development tools/environments
Experience using tools to ensure products satisfy requirements of established security technical implementation guides (STIGs) for assigned programs/systems
Familiarity or experience with DevSecOps and Software Assurance Innovative
Experience developing and testing Joint security architectures
Experience with cyber threat and risk assessments
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Even better with:
Master's degree
Active duty military experience or Federal Government civilian service preferred
