Summary You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the PURCHASING BRANCH, NAVFAC SUPPORT DIVISION, INSTALLATION SUPPORT DEPARTMENT of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 9.75% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time. Responsibilities You will resolve all discrepancies with material order to include arranging for replacement, exchange or return for credit of defective and/or erroneous materials, and transportation. You will document all purchases placed against the credit card in accordance with current regulations and instructions. You will ascertain material status and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the status of all materials and services that could impact production timelines. You will solicit-quotes from vendors either orally or through written request and quotations (RFQ). You will receive, review, screen, and execute a large volume of high priority and constrained lead time material and service requests (PRs). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service that demonstrates skill in applying thorough knowledge of governing supply and purchasing principles, concepts and practices and program requirements to perform complex technical supply and purchasing support work. Experience using office automation and tools and techniques to input, edit/update, extract, and maintain material transactions and records in various databases and automated information systems. Qualified typist skill is required. Examples of specialized experience may include some or all of the following: (1) Applying knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures and instructions governing receiving operations to research and resolve material or inventory discrepancies; (2) Utilizing the Single Platform MAXIMO (SPM) operating system or other supply databases for procurement programs, processes and functions to update and manage supply data; (3) Determine sources of supply and method of purchase to procure items; (4) Investigate reports of discrepant material / frustrated material to determine corrective action to properly record material receipt and/or issue in supply databases; (5) Maintain the government Purchase Card (PC) program.
