GENERAL SUMMARY
The Partial Hospitalization Practice Manager is responsible for 24-hour programmatic workflow, performance, and overall management and operations of a partial hospitalization program. This clinical and administrative position involves planning and oversight of operations, regulatory compliance, program implementation, and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works collaboratively with department leadership regarding strategic planning, quality improvement, and financial/budget reporting and monitoring.
Provides leadership, education, guidance, and professional development to personnel in order to support daily operations.
Ensures regulatory compliance and service coordination with payers.
Provides oversight of programming, implementation, and treatment outcomes consistent with the values of CHKD's Mental Health Service Line.
Demonstrates organizational and analytical skills to solve problems, make decisions, and develop systems and processes for effective workflow and financial viability.
Provides timely and appropriate resolution to patient, family, physician, personnel, vendor, and organizational concerns or complaints.
Maintains physical environment and equipment for effective operations.
Develops and supervises integrated care team.
Develops collaborative relationships with internal and community-based referral sources.
Manages staffing needs including hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, staff development, and remediation.
Performs additional projects, tasks or functions as assigned by leadership.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
- Actively licensed as a mental health provider in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in a mental health field from an accredited program.
Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
Two or more years of experience working in a Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) licensed program preferred.
1-2 years of management experience preferred.
Previous experience providing mental health care to child and adolescent populations.
Experience in intensive care settings preferred.
Proven ability to plan, manage, establish, and maintain a professional work environment.
Interpersonal skills necessary to manage staff and collaborate with integrated care team.
Knowledge of group therapy process and group leadership skills, pediatric development, crisis and behavior management, and integrated care. Knowledge of best practices and evidence-based modalities such as DBT, motivational interviewing, or CBT preferred.
Increased Security Clearance May Be Required: FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, and Child Protective Services registry search.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Risk of exposure to aggressive behavior. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, and other hazardous waste. General hospital environment.
