What you'll do here:

We are looking for a highly driven Sr. Finance Manager to join our fast-growing Cengage Work division. In this role, the Finance Manager will be the point person for our Infosec business. You'll also benefit the greater Cengage Work finance team by assisting with presentations, analytics, and other operational finance asks as needed. To be successful in this role, you should have proven interpersonal skills with a track record of establishing collaborative business relationships with cross functional teams within an organization; and have effective communication skills to work with all levels of management and staff. Further duties and responsibilities include:

  • Support the overall Workforce Skills FP&A function by providing accurate and timely future facing data, metrics, and presentations on which to base decisions

  • Use Excel to model scenarios, build forecasts, perform trend analysis, and identify drivers of business performance

  • Fully manage the FP&A function of Infosec's departmental P&L including budgeting, forecasting, long range planning, and monthly reporting

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify business issues, perform analysis, and communicate findings

  • Partner with Sales Operations on the design, budgeting, and implementation of incentive plans

  • Participate in ad-hoc reporting, initiatives, and analysis as assigned

  • Maintain healthy project management, documentation, and workflow practices

Skills you will need here:

  • BA/BS with high proven achievement in accounting / finance or another relevant field

  • 7+ years' experience in financial analysis

  • Demonstrated strengths in extracting data from internal databases, using Excel and business intelligence tools for analysis and communicating data-driven insights

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others to drive operational excellence

  • Ability to take on a project manager role through demonstrated leadership, organization, and acute attention to detail

  • Ability to proactively self-manage progress against achievements and deliverables with a high degree of accountability

  • Advanced Excel, Powerpoint and other MS Office skills

Base Pay Range

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

$97,000.00 - $155,200.00 USD
