Serco is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide business financial management support to the Amphibious Warfare Program Office SSC Landing Craft Division in Washington DC. Teleworking will be considered for the ideal candidate with a proven leadership and electrical engineering record.
The Business Financial Management (BFM) team supports PMS 407. In this role, you will support the BFM team in preparing and tracking funding documents, tracking obligations and expenditures, preparing Task Planning Sheets, assist in budget preparation and developing briefs, monthly financial status reports and correspondence.
You will be a part of a nice size team that works closely with our Customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality systems. You will be working closely with the customer in delivering quality products and services to the Principal Manager. This team has been recognized by the Navy and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program.
In this role you will:
Provide Business and Financial Management Support to PMS 407.
Use data from U.S. Navy databases including COBRA, ERP, NEPS, and PBIS to budget, execute, and report PMS 407 Program data.
Use VBA, macros, and pivot tables to prepare ad hoc reports of PMS 407 budget and execution status.
Prepare ledger reports.
Draft Task Planning Sheets and Reallocation Notices.
Draft funding documents to provide funding to other government activities and contractors.
Develops documentation, reports, and project plans and prepares and may present briefings and staff seminars.
Prepare funding requests based on requirements review and customer interface. Monitors funding requests until funding is received. Monitors expenditures to identify potential benchmark shortfalls.
Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Database.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
An Active DoD Govt Issued Secret Clearance is required.
In some cases Clearance requirements may be adjusted and sponsorship may be considered for prior DoD or Navy experiencee.
Bachelor's degree in related discipline plus 5 to 7 years of directly related experience preferably in a government financial environment.
Educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 7 years applicable work experience.
Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience
Additional desired experience and skills:
Hands-on experience using Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) highly desired.
Experience working in or with a government budget office is highly desired.
Experience as member of Navy Program contractor team a plus.
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft applications.
