The SAP Solution Manager Engineer is responsible for assisting with the management of the SAP environment. Your expertise will enable collaboration with SAP as a service provider, our ERP operations team, Infrastructure and operations, Security and Cengage business units. System Monitoring, Job Monitoring, and transport management under the guidance of our Senior Basis Engineers are key functions of this role. Interaction with the SAP Security team for user role management and system patches/updates will be part of the day-to-day activities. Essential Responsibilities and Competencies: + Assist with the monitoring of SAP instances that comprise the SAP environment + Work with Basis team to maintain the integrity of SAP environments and ensure configuration and development objects are promoted accurately using structured approach to minimize risk + Monitor and maintain SAP configuration to maximize system performance and availability + Work with I&O and the Basis team to monitor and manage the SAP background job workload + Monitor SAP Security and HotNews and participate in the planning and implementation of SAP Notes and upgrades + Develop and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces + Cross-train on various business software applications, infrastructure, and technology used at the company + Collaborate with technology service providers + Be highly organized, focused, process-oriented, analytical, and possesses great attention to detail + Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to transition smoothly between technical and business vernacular + SAP Solution Manager and ChaRM configuration and management + SAP Archiving experience + Interfaces and EDI Integration to SAP systems Required Experience: + 3-5 years of related experience in SAP Solution Manager or SAP Basis experience + System Monitoring & advanced job monitoring + S-Note review and analysis + Solid understanding of Unix/Linux Preferred Experience: + Bachelor's degree in information technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field + 1+ years of experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP PI/PO, SAP BW, SAP GRC, SAP Analytics, and other SAP products and services + Broad domain expertise across SAP products, cloud computing, infrastructure, IT operations, and infrastructure governance models + Experience configuring and maintaining SAP Solution Manager & ChaRM + Performance trend analysis and review via SAP Early-Watch Cengage Group is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
