The individual in this role will be primarily responsible for: * Achieving the annual Top-Line revenue goal for his/her assigned sales territory. * Managing an assigned book of B2B business to include making daily in-market sales calls on assigned accounts, gaining share-of-wallet with assigned accounts, and maintaining long-term retention of assigned accounts within the sales territory. * Driving new account acquisition & business conversion by managing a specific list of prospect accounts and a defined list of targeted accounts. * Becoming a subject matter expert on core Alside manufactured window, door, siding, and metal products. * Demonstration of Alside products (small-medium groups) to Single Family Home Builders, Remodeling Contractors & Dealers, Architects and/or Multi-Family General Contractors to include features, benefits, and competitive advantages. * Preparation of customer proposals and price quotes. * Weekly reporting and accountability of his/her sales activities and sales forecasts in the Portland, OR market. REPORTS TO: Area Sales Manager KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales Skills: * Ability to follow the Sales Process from beginning to end. Understands, assesses, and anticipates customers' objectives, strategies, and requirements to identify and pursue sales opportunities * Ability to overcome objections and find solutions. * Ability to problem solve and work with multiple stakeholders in complex selling scenarios. * Exceptional time management, task prioritization, organization, and follow-up * Responsible for escalated customer service, issue follow-up, and as necessary delegation to correct primary contact point for issue resolution. * Conducts annual sales and account/planning, forecasting, reporting, management efforts for the assigned accounts within his / her sales territory * Acquires new customers to maximize supply center revenue Management/Leadership: * Works closely with supply center personnel and corporate resources for fulfillment of orders. * Strong knowledge of the AMI sales process and policies (e.g., accruals, credit, expenses, rewards) PRODUCT / MARKET: * Sells B2B remodeling, new construction, project work, and Installed Sales (turn-key contracts) * Understands necessary building codes and how they impact AMI products * Reads blueprints and understands take-off capabilities for core products * Brings core product specification knowledge, application, and value to the customer * Must be able to accurately and professionally demo all core products to small and large groups * Understands the basics of negotiating correct market value pricing for the assigned territory, and seeks advice from the Area Sales Manager or Sr. Sales Manager EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Successful sales history with a minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience. * Experience within the* building materials industry* is highly preferred. * Bachelor's degree preferred * Self-directed, highly organized, customer-focused, detail oriented, and competitive * Working knowledge of core building material products (specifically windows & siding) for both single and multi-family applications * Proven experience in new business selling, upselling, and selling * Preferred experience working with builders and architects to create bigger ticket sales All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
