Job Description:

  • Develop and implement quality processes and procedures using statistical quality control statistics and analyses

  • Collaborate with both internal (Operations, Engineering, and Program Management) as well as external customers to ensure quality standards are in place and are being properly executed

  • Determine root cause for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications and implement effective corrective action as needed

  • Write inspection procedures and assist in reviewing and evaluating in-process rejections and obtaining proper product dispositions

  • Analyze quality performance for factory and collaborate with Operations Engineers to develop improvement plans for identified problem areas

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, Quality Sciences or related field

    Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, LEAN, and/or simulation tools like Arena, CAD, and/or AutoCAD

  • Ability to focus, prioritize, and multi-task successfully to drive tasks to closure to support customer commitments and business objectives

  • Disposition and analyze production and supplier defects on F35 products

  • Verify that all shippable product meets and exceeds customer requirements and specifications

  • Interface and collaborate with supplier quality engineering with respect to technical requirements of suppliers.

  • Learn ISO9001/AS9100 and Customer Specifications

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality controls and analyses.

  • Review and approve engineering specifications such as ATPs, drawings, models, manufacturing work instruction for adequacy, quality, and compliance to specification and contractual requirements.

  • Present complex and relevant information to leadership

  • Generate and drive continuous improvement projects to closure

  • Write inspection procedures and assist in reviewing and evaluating in-process rejections and obtaining proper product dispositions.
